M 31 the Andromeda galaxy images taken by Hayden Tynan is the closest galaxy to the Milky Way at a distance of 2.45LY, which will eventually collide with our Milky Way galaxy in about 4-5 billion years. M31 can just be seen by eye on moonless dark sky nights away from urban lights.
Messier 16, the Eagle Nebula image taken by Hayden Tynan. This is an active star forming region about 5,700 LY away and can be seen using binoculars.
Messier 42 the Orion nebula image taken by Hayden Tynan. This diffuse star forming nebula just visible to the naked eye is south of Orion’s belt, and is 1,344 LY away.

Horsehead nebula NGC 2023, also known as Barnard 33 taken by Hayden Tynan. The nebula is just south of Alnitak the eastern most star in Orion’s Belt, and is 1,375 LY away.
